I had an assignment to shoot the Nottingham Robin Hood marathon yesterday and even though I took my bike I didn't expect to do the whole course. But as I was photographing the relay team from Unison I had to get a few hand over shots and this resulted in having to get to the various stages. By the time I was back the finish line I felt like I'd done my own marathon, dashing around with cameras in pannier bags, but cycle helmets off to those who did it for real and raised loads of cash for charities. I was particularly impressed by the dad who ran the whole marathon pushing his autistic son in a buggy.
